Academic Achievement

VIA provides a challenging curriculum in a diverse, intellectually stimulating, nurturing environment that fosters ability, perseverance, and creativity. Our guidance counselor works with students on college prep programs. We raise academic standards so students develop their minds, improve SAT and TOEFL scores, take challenging AP classes and demonstrate their leadership abilities. Small classes led by expert, highly motivated instructors give students access to teacher/mentors who encourage them to prosper.

Critical and Creative Thinking

VIA's program promotes critical thinking and encourages students to question, reflect, and respond to the curriculum and view issues from multiple perspectives. Students learn to question faulty reasoning, and to actively engage with faculty to problem-solve. Our curriculum and courses meet or exceed all the basic standards, but our approach is different: instructors use project-based learning, small groups and teams, Socratic reasoning and humor to bring actively engage students in the pursuit of knowledge.

Entrepreneurial Spirit

VIA is a school founded by an entrepreneur who wishes to share her success with others from around the world. We are people in action who take initiative to start business enterprises, non-profit organizations or creative undertakings in science, literature or art. Collectively and individually, our faculty understands the impact of fostering the natural drive of the adolescent to work alongside adults in a cooperative, mutually respectful environment.

Global Citizenship

Our international student body promotes a culture of Global Citizenship through multicultural experience and training, combined with hands-on activities that raise awareness through the daily round of the school life. We hire empathetic, experienced teachers with advanced degrees or credentials. We empower teachers as leaders and guides; our educators are free to teach that which each knows best, engaging students with humor, variety and creativity. Our staff gives students encouragement, guidance and counsel.
